KL/PJ LYPG!!! coming ur way..

Hi everyone!!!

What an awesome night it was indeed.

And congratulations to those who won the movie passess and the Microsoft Office 2007 original software!!

Some of you as far as I know were ministered that night! Amen to that. Michele shared that she saw something like seeds being planted in the hearts of the young people ... Pastor Pher saw denominational walls being broken down!

We would like to hear from you, feedbacks about the concert..if you can, feel free to drop a comment or two ya :)

It is a great start to a new year. Let us continue to pray for our nation, continue to gather together like we did...and as Pastor Raymond shared, if the church UNITE to pray....SAtan trembles!!

Thank you to all those who have been faithfully keeping us in prayer. I'm glad to report that there were about 363 people present that night, including the helpers! Praise the Lord, He brought in a good crowd!!

And we sure had fun that night ;)

Most of us are very excited, the fact that the concert is TOMORROW!! Okay, a lot of you have been asking questions about the event so here are the answers to some of the questions.

How to go to KLWMC by public transport?
The easiest way to reach Kl wesley is by LRT. Make sure you get yourself aboard the star line and stop at PLAZA RAKYAT LRT station. Walk towards the exit and look out for the Bersatunite signboards. There will be ushers waiting near the exit to direct you. So look out for red shirt and jeans people!! Guest of the concert are provided access to the exclusive 'Horley link', passing through MBS to the church.

Where is the best place to park?
There will be parking inside KL Wesley itself. Come earlier if you don't want to get caught in the jam. There will also be traffic wardens on duty..soo dun worry lah =)

Hey all,

Just a reminder, the concert is this saturday!! Hope you all are as excited as we all are because we are living in times where God is just moving the young people in unexpected ways!

Just last weekend, we saw 200 over young people gathered in Kuantan for mMYPG to pray. Of that 52 of us from kl/pj showed up!

We are therefore looking forward to this concert already, for those of you who can't make it, it's okay...we will have more LYPGs to come, the next one is on 17th January 2009, 10am at People's Park Baptist Church.

For those who are maybe attending or still thinking about it, quit thinking, just come...you won't regret it. =)

We believe revival is coming, the call has sounded to unite as christian soldiers...it's just the beginning of greater things to come!!

Hi guys (especially you guys in the PJ and KL district.)Here are some need-to-knows for you guys. Please, take the time to download the files from the links below and take a look at them.

LYPG
LYPG stands for Local Youth Prayer Gathering. It is a regular prayer gathering held by youths for other youths. This prayer gathering is usually categorized by district. (Hence the Local Youth Prayer Gathering.)

So far, the LYPGs that have been are the Kluang LYPG which has been on eversince September, Kuantan LYPG (entering their 5th LYPG on 7th Dec.(SUN) ) and Kulim LYPG (2nd LYPG on 7th Dec.(SUN) ).

PJ/KL LYPG
The PJ/KL LYPG is something new which will be going on in the KL districts. (for more info, read the PDF. file.)

The whole concept of LYPG is to gather youths(locally) together to have a consistent prayer group, praying for the nation. This is strictly inter-denominational.

What is BersatUnite?
It is a concert initiated by the Methodist Youth Fellowship of the KL and Selangor District. A night where we are inviting all of our brothers and sisters from across denomination for a time of worship and celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ! The focus of this concert is about prayer and unity.

What is the aim of having such concert?
The aim of this event is to ignite the passion in the hearts of the young people to pray. Also, this event hopes to serve as a connecting point for churches in kl/pj regardless of denomination to start connecting with each other through prayer.

How is this connection going to work out?
This is done pretty much after the concert. We are in a midst of setting up a Local Youth Prayer Gathering (LYPG), hopefully by January. Our hope after the concert is to see those who caught the fire/passion to pray to continue their commitment and join the kl/pj LYPG.

WHat is LYPG?
A LYPG means a regular (preferably weekly) gathering of youths who are praying over a sustained period of time. It is distinctively inter-denominational. Its main focus is for revival and transformation of their town/city/school. When an MYPG is called in a state, all local LYPGs from the surrounding towns or cities can be mobilized to participate and contribute.

What then is MYPG?
MYPG stands for Malaysian Youth Prayer Gathering and is a series of national level prayer gatherings organised and totally run by young people. The end goal and purpose is to mobilise young people of this generation for full time calling, whether in market place occupations or in missions, but with the intention to reach lifes with the Gospel, especially in ares where the Gospel is not preached. How is BersatUnite connected with LYPG and MYPG?
BersatUnite is also a form of LYPG but on a bigger scale. We hope to provide the latest update on what will be going on at LYPG level as well as MYPG level to those coming for the concert. The way teh updates will probably be done is through this blog or by emails.

So what to expect at BersatUnite?

Meanwhile, just something about Bersatunite. It is a concert initiated by the Methodist Youth Fellowship of the Selangor and KL district (12 churches all together). The details are as below:

It's aim is to ignite the passion to unite in prayer. We want to see youths especially, on fire for God and praying as a community, regardless of what denomination you are from, as long as you are a follower of Christ...we must be united to pray.

Pray for our leaders, our Prime Minister.
Pray for justice and freedom and peace.
Pray for our churches, pastors and elders/leaders.
Pray for our family, friends and ourselves.

There is so much to pray for! Like the apostles in Acts 1:12, "They all joined together constantly in prayer..." so we should also gather among ourselves to pray.

So come, we want to connect with you, especially if you are from Selangor or KL! We want to establish a network among the churches in this district, to pray and encourage each other, and see where He leads us.
